Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport have some work to do for Saturday in Monte Carlo

• Lewis finished the morning session in P3 with Valtteri in P7
• In the afternoon, Lewis came home in P4 with Valtteri in P6

Building on more than two decades of collaboration, the agreement will see Sparco partner McLaren until at least 2021. Having formed the original partnership in 1996, this agreement will see McLaren and Sparco celebrate 25 years together. 

McLaren driver Stoffel Vandoorne will also become an ambassador for the Italian racewear provider, wearing Sparco racing gloves and boots for the first time and aiding in future research and development. The team takes to Monaco following a busy race weekend in Spain, which was followed by a successful two-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with Oliver Rowland and Robert Kubica sharing driving duties. Monaco’s tight and twisty street circuit is highly unforgiving and demands the very best from both car and driver, with little room for error. The team turned around a tough weekend at last year’s Grand Prix to record a top-10 finish with Felipe whilst Lance retired with mechanical issues. Sergey earned a podium-finish on his Monaco GP2 debut and looks forward to returning to the principality.

The aspiring young drivers in the FIA Formula 2 Championship get the chance to race on the famed streets of Monaco this weekend for round four of the 2018 season: probably the event that they are most looking forward to.

THE HYPERSOFT TIRE MAKES ITS GRAND PRIX DEBUT ON THE TWISTY STREETS OF MONACO

Milan, May 21, 2018 – The brand new P Zero Pink hypersoft tire compound, which in testing has shown itself to be about one second per lap quicker than the ultrasoft tire, makes its competition debut in Monaco alongside the two other softest tire compounds in the Pirelli Formula 1 line-up: ultrasoft and supersoft. With Monaco requiring a high level of mechanical grip yet the least stress on a tire as possible of any track all year, the prestigious street circuit in Monaco is ideal territory for the softest and fastest Formula 1 tires available.

The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team is heading out to one of the most glamorous and iconic destinations of the season – Monte Carlo. The race has been a regular appointment on the world championship calendar since 1955. In addition to the numerous activities and events around the Circuit de Monaco, the Grand Prix will have further special meaning for the team, with it being the first Formula 1 home race for the Monegasque rookie, Charles Leclerc. Both of the team’s drivers look forward to the weekend, with encouraging results over the past few weekends having given the entire team a motivation boost.

New Name for Newest Addition to Formula One

Team Release: KANNAPOLIS, North Carolina (Sept. 2, 2014) – What was initially known as Haas Formula is now Haas F1 Team.

Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation and chairman of the newly renamed Haas F1 Team, opted for the name change to better correlate his team with motor racing’s most prestigious series – the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Race Notes
.    Felipe Massa finished fifth and Valtteri Bottas eighth as WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING scored points with both cars in an eventful Hungarian Grand Prix.
.    Felipe put in a strong performance in changeable conditions to end his run of bad luck with a solid points finish.
.    Valtteri ran second in the early stages but was delayed by traffic during his first pit stop, eventually challenging Vettel for seventh in the closing laps.
.    WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING heads into Formula 1's summer break fourth in the constructors championship with 135 points.

Slippery When Wet - 2014 Hungarian GP, Sunday
Sunday, 27th July

Pastor Maldonado finished in thirteenth position whilst Romain Grosjean retired from an eventful and highly entertaining 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix. Heavy rain before the start of the race meant that all competitors started on intermediate tyres. The changing level of grip provided a challenge for all, with most drivers caught out at least once by the conditions during the course of the 70 laps.

Daniel Ricciardo gave Red Bull a solid win today at a rainy Hungarian Grand Prix.

“Winning this today, it honestly feels as good as the first," said Ricciardo, earning his second win of the season. "It was awesome. To have to pass guys again to win the race, as I did in Canada, makes it a lot more satisfying."

Ricciardo made late-race passes of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Fernando Alonzo to earn the win.

Teammate Sebastian Vettle finished seventh after a strong, second-place qualifying position.
