RS-MADISON, Ill. – RIS -Antron Brown extended his mastery of Gateway Motorsports Park by racing to his fourth consecutive Top Fuel victory at the facility Sunday during the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals.

Del Worsham (Funny Car), Drew Skillman (Pro Stock), and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also were winners in their respective categories at the second of six playoff races in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship event near St. Louis.
Brown defeated Dave Connolly in the final round to take his 53rd career victory and his fifth win overall at the track with a performance of 3.721 seconds at 325.92 mph in his Matco Tools dragster to Connolly’s trailing run of 3.753 at 328.94 in the C&J Energy Services dragster

BROWNSBURG, Ind. –RIS- Jack Beckman earned a $100,000 payday with his victory in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout for Funny Car Sunday at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals.
Beckman, the 2012 world champ, claimed the victory with a winning performance of 4.051 seconds at 309.06 mph, defeating Robert Hight in the final of the all-star bonus event. It was Beckman’s second win in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout, making him the second Funny Car driver to win the event twice, tying John Force.

MORRISON, Colo. – Steve Torrence raced to his first Top Fuel victory in over two years Sunday at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway.
Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Larry Morgan (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were also victorious at the 14th of 24 events of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season and first of the NHRA Western Swing.
Torrence powered his Capco Racing/Torrence Motorsports dragster to the winner’s circle with a 3.925-second performance at 319.37 mph to earn his fifth career victory, first at Denver and first since Bristol 2013. Torrence, who defeated Tony Schumacher’s 3.940 at 305.08 in his U.S. Army dragster, earned the seventh spot in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout at Indianapolis.

NHRA Friday Falls to Mother Nature
(CONCORD, NC – MARCH 27, 2015 – RIS) Rain showers lasting through most of the day resulted in NHRA cancelling Friday's qualifying round and only two rounds slated for Saturday's on-track action. Even nine jet-engined driers couldn't get the track readied for competition in the face of persistent rain and mist conditions. Weather forecasts for the remainder of the weekend promise sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid-50s both days, so speeds and times on the brand-new pavement may be record-breaking.
