Ty Majeski Wins NASCAR Truck Championship With Phoenix Win

AVONDALE, AZ – RIS - Ty Majeski held off Grant Enfinger, Corey Heim and Christian Eckes to win his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Friday night at Phoenix Raceway. The championship run comes in Majeski’s second appearance in the final four drivers.

Majeski led the entire final stage and stayed out as the other three Championship 4 drivers made adjustments to no avail. The No. 98 ThorSport Racing Ford was in front most of the race. Heim was third with about 50 laps to go when he had to pit for a restart violation. Corey Heim and Grant Enfinger got new tires during the final caution period,  but could only reach third and fifth respectively.

On the final restart, Heim restarted behind Majeski on the outside lane, but Majeski scooted away and pushed his lead out to more than four seconds as the laps ticked away.

Majeski gets his first Truck Series title, and it's the sixth title for ThorSport Racing. ThorSport won the 2023 Truck Series title with driver Ben Rhodes last season. Friday's race is Majeski's third win of the season (IRP and Richmond).
