Denny Hamlin By A Quarter of Second At Dover Motor Speedway's Wurth 400

Denny Hamlin wins the Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway in front of one of the largest crowds in a decade.

Dover, DE. -RIS- The Wurth 400 held up to the what was predicted, a tight, and hot day running under a Bright Delaware Sun. Thirty-seven NASCAR Cup Series Drivers took the Green. With Miss America in the house and a flyover by two F-10 Warthogs what more could you ask for?

Denny Hamlin brings the #11 Mavis Tire Toyota to a quarter second win over hard charging Kyle Larson in his #5 HenricksCars.com Chevrolet. Larson was chasing Hamlin for the final 60 plus laps and sealed the win with the Quarter Second lead. With Eleven Events into the 2024 season, Joe Gibbs and his whole team brought the #11 to Victory Lane working as a whole team.

Nine different leaders on the day for the Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway and Hamlin lives up to his prediction to be victorious. Martin Truex brought the Bass Pro Shops Toyota home in third and just could not pull of a repeat of 2023 where he and his brother won at Dover.

The Pole Sitter, Kyle Busch wheeling the #8 FICO Chevrolet fought the entire race, he fought the track, the heat, and pit road to finish the day in Fourth Place. A great showing for the fans, but not6 exactly what Kyle wanted. A Champion is never satisfied unless he wins.

Chase Elliott rounded out the Top five in the #9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet after starting the event in Row 15 and position 29. He was strong as ever and really completed one hot day. In all it was a fairly clean day and it brought the fans to their feet many times as the leaders challenged each other time and time again. Denny Hamlin lead the most laps and especially the t5he best one the final lap. To win in NASCAR you have to keep your head in the car for every lap, and Denny had the total package today at Dover Motor Speedway.

The official final finish is not certified until NASCAR accomplishes their final inspections.

See you at the track
