INDY 500

INDIANAPOLIS - RIS - MAY 18, 2019 - First Day of qualifications at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Final pre-qualification practice has begun. Kyle Kaiser who had a very hard crash as he warmed up the currently unsponsored Juncos Racing Dallara, got on the track this morning in the team’s road racing car, a car he has not driven since Long Beach.

Weather looks to be a factor this weekend. It is going to be hot in Indy today with temps around 90 degrees expected. Each car must take at least one timed run today. The fastest nine will be eligible tomorrow for the pole and first three rows in a one-run session mid-day on Sunday. The last row, will also be up for grabs at 11:00 am on Sunday.

There is a possibility of big storms in the Indy area for tomorrow. We have been told no decision has yet been made as to what would happen if it rains out completely tomorrow. We will let you know as soon as we know. There is a scheduled practice for Monday.
