Bojangles’ Summer Shootout 23rd Season Features Exciting Racing, Family-Friendly Attractions
CONCORD, N.C. (June 2, 2016) – The future stars of motorsports will tackle the frontstretch quarter-mile at Charlotte Motor Speedway when the thrilling 23rd season of the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout kicks off with a rocking opener on June 14, including a full slate of wheel-to-wheel Legend and Bandolero action that is sure to keep up the excitement throughout the summer.
The world’s premier grassroots racing event features an action-packed 10-race slate that pairs high-octane racing with can’t-miss entertainment, including school bus races, a Mascot Mania battle among area sports mascots as well as spectacular fireworks shows and a unique, new attraction: a no-holds-barred tow truck competition on July 12.
The Bojangles’ Summer Shootout lights up the night on 10 occasions, with a full schedule of events included below:
Tuesday, June 14: Transportation Group school bus race, Legend and Bandolero races
Monday, June 20: Area principal go-kart qualifying race, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, June 21: Area principal school bus race, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, June 28: Mascot Mania mascot race, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, July 5: Faster Pastor local clergy showdown, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, July 12: Tow truck competition, Legend and Bandolero race
Tuesday, July 19: Little Luggies 600, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, July 26: Media Mayhem school bus race, Legend and Bandolero races
Monday, Aug. 1: NHRA Pro Mod burnout exhibition, Legend and Bandolero races
Tuesday, Aug. 2: Champions Night, fireworks, 4-wheeler exhibition, Legend and Bandolero season finales
