28th Indiana Sprint Week Starts With Stockon Win

GAS CITY, IN -RIS- The 2015 addition of Indiana Sprint Weeks kicked off at Gas City I-69 Speedway with Chase Stockon taking the feature win after trading the lead with Jerry Coons, Jr. Coons took the early lead and lead the first seven laps before Stockon took it on lap eight. Coons fought back and retook the lead for laps nine to 13. Stockon made the winning pass on lap 14 while Coons fell to third behind Hunter Schuerenberg at the finish.

Forty six cars qualified with the Amati 66 driven by Chad Boespflug setting fast time at 12.161 seconds. Heat winners were Brady Bacon, Thomas Meseraull, Justin Grant and Jon Stanbrough. Robert Ballou won the B feature and Cole Ketcham the last chance race.

Race two of the series is Saturday night at Kokomo Speedway.
