MODIFIED ACTION RETURNS TO THE HIGH BANKED OVAL
Although not leading points Don Earven has showcased he is the man to beat at Central Arizona Speedway and October 4th the competitors of the South West Modified Championships have their chance as we return to racing at the South Wests fastest track. As of this release Cody Graham, Brian Schultz and Eric Center sit 1,2,3 and are at the top of the points food chain. Chaz Baca Jr., Don Earven and Ricky Thornton Jr. all like to play the spoiler and will try and do so as we return to racing with the best in the west as we get it on on Saturday nightOctober 4th.
The action packed card will also feature X-Mods, Super Stocks and Dwarf Cars.
X-Mods who have put on some of the most exciting shows of the season to date will return and try and dethrone Nolan Morrow as his momentum has begun to build at the fastest track in the desert. Eric Winemiller, Trevor Miller and new comer to the X Mod division but always dangerous Tommy Thompson definitely have what it takes to make the move, but this competitive field of cars could actually be won by anyone of the top 10 cars from night to night.
The Kelley brother along with the entire Super Stock group are always excited to entertain at Central Arizona Speedway and they did just that in their last trip to the Speedway in June. Allen and Eric Kelley went 1 and 2 and will look to repeat the finish. Although Super Stock count has fallen in recent years the driving level and competitiveness of the drivers has not. This is certainly one divisions that any entry in the division has a chance to claim the checkers on any given night and the results in the 2014 South West Super Stock Championships have proven just that.
Dwarf cars have been on a hiatus from CAS for the last few months and are coming off what was sure to be a fantastic run at Arizona Speedway. They will be lead into the evening with Kevin Cain, Tim Cotherman and Chad Stewart current top 3 in points as of 9/23 and continue to wow the fans as the weight to horsepower ratio bullets these drivers around the track as closely contested as any division around.
Racing action begins at 7:00pm, Pits open at 4:00pm, front gates open at 5:00pm. Cost of admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior and kids 11 and under are free.
