The world’s largest automotive extravaganza features a collector car auction, thousands of automobiles and 10,000 vendor spaces. This year, the speedway will celebrate 50 years of one of the greatest iconic pony cars, the Ford Mustang at the speedway and dragway on April 17-20. Classic car enthusiasts can also take in the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals, Oct. 24-26.
Fun for the whole family can be had this summer when the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series returns every Tuesday night in June and July. Also, those looking for great deals on NASCAR merchandise can head to the speedway on Nov. 28 for the 22nd Annual Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out. The Bellagio of drag strips will also host the NHRA Carolina Nationals on Sept. 12-14, when competitors return to traditional two-wide racing to kick off the NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship. The Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour will also kick off the 2014 edition on June 7.
All dirt roads lead to Charlotte, as evidenced by The Dirt Track at Charlotte’s high-octane 2014 schedule.
