Gray Gaulding Ready for Dover in NASCAR K&N Pro Series Event.

Dover, DE. – RIS – Dover International Speedway hosts the Drive Sober 150 presented by the Delaware Department of Highway Safety is set to kick off the NASCAR K&N Pro Series today at 4:45. One of the fastest drivers competing for the win is Rookie of the Year Contender, Gray  Gaulding. Gaulding is the driver of the #20 Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Toyota. He hails from Colonial Hieghts, N.C. and his ride is owned by Steve Urvan.

Gaulding has 14 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. He has been on the Pole once during those starts and has 4 top 5 finishes and 10 top 10 finishes. Gray describes Dover International Speedway as a Supersized Bristol Motor Speedway. That makes this his first start on the Concrete Mile. He stated “I have to say I am pretty excited about racig at Dover. I have always loved watching others race here and to be racing here myself, well it’s pretty crazy for me.” To say Gray appears to be excited to be here is under statement at face value Gray looks excited about this start and looks forward a great finish. When asked as to what he has learned about Dover. Gray Gaulding stated he has been talking to guys that have raced here in the past, as well as Doug Howe, and all the guys in the shop.

Doug Howe is the Crew Chief of the #20 Krispy Kreme Toyota and explained that this chassis is the one they have saved all year to race at Dover. Doug explained that his crew have spent countless hours making sure everything is spot on when we unloaded at the track. In just a few short hours we shall see how spot on they truly are.

Dean has been a Pennsylvania Magisterial District Judge for the past 12 years. In a life prior to that he was a Homicide/Sex Crimes Detective for 26 yrs. An avid Penn State Football fan, he now dabbles in writing and photographing sports events. When he says dabble, he means dabble.... Photographing sports is so much better then Coaching and Officiating which he also did for more then 20 odd years. He finds it less stressful behind the lense. He is the father of four and has three grand children. He is married to a Nurse and her oldest son, Aaron, starts as a Freshman at; where else but, Penn State University in the fall of 2012. Dean's son's Damion and Kyle both are fathers and are Police Officers. The youngest of the family, Olivia, will start 7th Grade in the fall of 2012. See you at the track!
