Wintry Weather Rules Fontana Qualifying

(FONTANA, CA – FEB 25, 2023 – RIS) Wintry weather in the Los Angeles area cancelled Saturday’s qualifying for the final NASCAR Xfinity and Cup series races on the two-mile oval. The lineups were set according to a metric ranking system determined by the last race’s finish, owner points and finish and fastest lap run. This will put Austin Hill on pole for the Production Alliance Group 300 Xfinity race and Christopher Bell at the same position for the Pala Casino 400. Cool and cloudy weather with intermittent rain is forecast for several more days in southern California so the schedule may be in flux.

Current plans for the property are not confirmed, but the track is not slated for races after this event and NASCAR has not released plans for the future.
