Dover, DE - RIS - Christopher Bell wins his third 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series event, and this one was hot, very hot. The weather looked early like it was going to win the day, but Dover International Speedway brings Mother Nature to her knees for just one day. After 200 laps, and with the Sun burning off the Mist and For from the morning the NASCAR Xfinity drivers take the Monster Mile and heat up the concrete, and the day.

For the 38th Annual Allied Steel Buildings 200 Christopher Bell brings home his Rheem Toyota home first followed by Justin Allgaier wheeling the #7 Brandt Professional Agriculture Chevrolet. With about ten to go there is a Restart and Allgaier beat Bell to the wire, but as they made their way into Turn 2 Allgaier slapped the outside wall almost ruining the day for his team, but he held it and finished second.

Third place finisher was #2 driven hard by Tyler Reddick in the Roland Chevrolet, Fourth went to #00 Cole Custer who appeared to be the man to beat, but no one told the remainder of the field as they beat and banged their way to a great finish. Fifth place finisher was the #98 Chase Briscoe, a rookie wheeling the Nutri Chomps Ford.

Finishing sixth was the #22 Austin Cindric. Seventh went to #19 Brandon Jone, followed by eighth place finisher #23 John Hunter Nemechek who tangled with the ninth place car #8 Zane Smith. Both banged and dented their rides after the winner had taken the Checkered Flag.

Rounding out the top ten was the #1 driven by Michael Annett.

Winning the Allied Steel Buildings 200 at Dover International would be Christopher Bell’s third win for the season and seventh top ten finish. In all this is Bell’s 11th win in just 51 Xfinity Series starts. Christopher sits just 23 series points behind Tyler Reddick so look for this standings to get tighter and tighter as the series progresses. Now NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers get two weeks to work on the rides and gather as much knowledge as they can before hitting the competition again.

See you at the track.

I have been a Photojournalist for RIS-news for the past ten years more or less. I was a shooter for a Minority Publication here in Reading, PA. Unfortunately the publisher passed away ending the publication. Mike took me onboard the following February while covering Daytona freelance. I also shoot Football, Professional Boxing, and Pennsylvania Dirt Track Racing. Hailing from Reading, Pennsylvania what else would I do. In my real life I am also a sitting Magisterial District Judge... sports coverage is my escape!
