Rookie Christopher Bell Wins Bar Harbor 200 For Sixth Win In 2018

Christopher Bell wins six times this season in NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series after taking the Bar Harbor 200 at Dover International Speedway. Dean Patton Photo.

Dover, DE - RIS - Rookie Christopher Bell wheeling the #20 Rheem Toyota makes it look easy, as he wins the 33rd Annual Bar Harbor 200. Christopher Bell takes his sixth Checkered Flag for the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie year. Now Christoper Bell rides a 43 point lead over Daniel Hemric for the 2018 series championship.

Second place finisher Cole Custer in the #00 HAAS Automation Ford and to top it off he has 23 top ten finishes for the season, sounds and looks like on hot season. Third place went to Justin Allgaier; who was the points leader heading into the PlayOffs and carries this third place finish into the next Eight in the play off series. Justin now has nine top ten finishes at Dover International Speedway in 16 starts.

Ryan Preece chauffeured the #18 Craftsman Toyota to fourth as fifth went to Spencer Gallagher in the #23 Allegiant Chevrolet.

I wanted to point out that  Christopher Bell with his six victories this season as a rookie makes him the winningest NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie driver of all time. He has passed the likes of Kyle Busch, Gregg Biffle, and Carl Edwards who went on to great NASCAR Monster Energy Drink Series careers. Sound like great company to be with not to mention to now take their leaderboards as rookie wins.

The finish is not official until NASCAR Officials have made all the checks and certify this race.

See you at the track.

I have been a Photojournalist for RIS-news for the past ten years more or less. I was a shooter for a Minority Publication here in Reading, PA. Unfortunately the publisher passed away ending the publication. Mike took me onboard the following February while covering Daytona freelance. I also shoot Football, Professional Boxing, and Pennsylvania Dirt Track Racing. Hailing from Reading, Pennsylvania what else would I do. In my real life I am also a sitting Magisterial District Judge... sports coverage is my escape!
