SVRA - RACER to present “Indy Legends” Charity Pro-Am

INDIANAPOLIS - RIS - June 11, 2018 - Things in the world of motorsports are, to be honest, less than spectacular. However, there is one organization that is, frankly outshining all others.

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association, the SVRA, is growing by leaps and bounds. This weekend’s Brickyard Invitational will take place at the World’s Greatest Race Course, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Literally hundreds of race cars and drivers will be at IMS for this amazing event that will run on both the road course and historic oval.

Almost every week the SVRA are announcing another series sponsor. Something that makes them the envy of other sires organizers.

Well the rumor mill is already in high gear for the “Big One.” Word “on the street” is Paul Phanner, will be announcing RACER Magazine will be the presenting sponsor of the the SVRA “Indy Legends” Charity Pro-Am. Indy 500 legends as well as current and retired professional driver will partner with amateur owners/driver to do battle in vintage Trans-Am cars on the road course.

In other SVRA, Brickyard Invitational news, Matt Brabham, son of 12 time Indy 500 veteran, Geoff Brabham, will get a chance to compete, head to head with his father in the Pro-Am. Should be a fun weekend!
