TOYOTA QUOTES

DANIEL SUAREZ, No. 20 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 3rd

How did it feel to get out on the track in another XFINITY Series race?

“It’s always fun with all these guys. The fun part is a lot of these guys are racing just for the win, just like myself, and they are very aggressive. If a mistake happens, it happens. Overall I want to thank everyone on this team – they are family – Interstate Batteries, Toyota, PEAK who will be with a few races with us, Juniper Networks as XFINITY. I’m really excited to race in this series.”

How was your race?

“I think it was a good day. Everyone – Chris Gabehart (crew chief) and all the guys – they did a really good job working with our Interstate Batteries Camry. I felt like at the end of the race we had a lot of speed on the short run, but for some reason on the long run we didn’t have the speed that we wanted. We lost a lot of track position, but Chris did an amazing job working to gain track position, putting myself back into the top five and with some adjustments we were able to keep ourselves there.”

MATT TIFFT, No. 19 Surface Sunscreen Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position:  34th

What happened to end your race?

“Very disappointing to end the way we did after having a solid car all day. The team put me in good spots in my Surface Sunscreen Camry – can’t thank them enough. We will be back ready to go in Phoenix.”
