ANGIE'S LIST GRAND PRIX OF INDIANAPOLIS
QUALIFYING REPORT

The Verizon IndyCar Series field of 25 took to the 14-turn road course inside open-wheel racing's most notable oval racetrack today, and it was rookie Alexander Rossi that led the way for Andretti's four-car effort - taking the grid in the 14th position tomorrow. Veteran driver Ryan Hunter-Reay showed promising speed in the morning practice session with a sixth-place standing and will line up 17th for Saturday's 82-lap race. Carlos Munoz had an eighth-place showing this morning in the hhgregg machine and will take the green flag from 19th, with teammate Marco Andretti lining up 21st.

The Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis will be available on the INDYCAR YouTube channel www.youtube.com/indycar and RaceControl.IndyCar.com. Live race broadcast will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday on ABC. Alexander Rossi
No. 98 Castrol Edge/Curb Honda
"It’s really disappointing to be finished (qualifying) after Round 1. I thought we had a good shot today. It’s by far the best car I’ve had this year, so we have definitely made progress there. When you have four guys with the same lap time in front of you, it’s a pretty tight field. I’m disappointed in that one, but we made forward progress so we’ll carry that into tomorrow."

 Ryan Hunter-Reay
No. 28 DHL Honda
"We just lost the balance and maybe went with the wrong downforce for the higher track temps for qualifying mid-day compared to the beginning of the day. This morning we were P6, we just lost it with the wrong downforce level so will have to be smart with strategy tomorrow for the DHL car."

Carlos Muñoz
No. 26 hhgregg Honda
"It was a really bad qualifying, we just missed the balance on the (Firestone Alternate) Reds. In practice we were looking a little bit better than the result we did. We have to work hard but it’s a long race and we can overtake here. We’ll see what’s happening – we have to do lots of work for tomorrow."

Marco Andretti
No. 27 Snapple Honda
"I would have like to have started higher on the grid – but if there’s anywhere to pass on a road course, it’s here at IMS. We aren’t giving up yet. We’ll have our work cut out for us in the Snapple car, but will fight the best we can."
