The New Onandaga Dragstrip Joins IHRA

February 20, 2015 (Norwalk, OH) -- IRG Sports + Entertainment™ and the International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) are proud to announce The New Onandaga Dragstrip, located in Onandaga, Michigan, has signed a multi-year sanctioning agreement to join the IHRA as a member track.

The New Onandaga Dragstrip, owned by Dan Pranshka, is an eighth-mile track constructed on a retired airstrip, south of Lansing and east of Kalamazoo. The track had been closed for 35 years but was reopened by Pranshka in 2013. Pranshka has made a number of upgrades to his facility.

"We are pleased to welcome Dan and the Onandaga track to our growing IHRA family," said IHRA President Scott Gardner. "Onandaga is a unique venue and Dan is working hard to make it a good track for racers and fans."

Pranshka recently told the press, "Above all, I hope to provide a family-friendly track where the racers and their family can enjoy the sport of drag racing."
